Petite Venise

🏷 Alsace Colmar France Petite Venise

After our lunch in Riquewihr, we headed to Colmar to see the picturesque Petite Venise. After a short twenty minute drive we arrived near the old section of the town. Parking was quite straightforward. We just followed one of several signs for parking around old town and parked in one that was directly under Place Rapp next to Parc du Champ de Mars (via the entrance on Boulevard du Champ de Mars).

Petite Venise (or Little Venice) is a small historic quarter of Colmar in Northeast France. The main attraction is beautifully restored medieval half-timbered homes and shops along side the canal. We spent about two to three hours strolling the streets on a hot afternoon. That was enough time for us to visit a few shops and take many of photos.
